Homework
Homework Policy
The district policy recommends 20-30 minutes of homework per night in second grade. The children will write their homework in the Planner everyday. In addition to what is listed in the Planner it is always a good idea to practice math facts, spelling words, and read on a regular basis.
All homework is expected to be turned in the day it is due (usually the next school day).
Listed below are the assignments that will be expected most weeks for homework.
Monday:
Read 20 minutes and complete Reading Calendar
Work on Spelling Packet
Side B of Math
Complete any work not finished in class
Tuesday:
Read 20 minutes and complete Reading Calendar
Work on Spelling Packet
Side B of Math
Complete any work not finished in class
Wednesday:
Read 20 minutes and complete Reading Calendar
Work on Spelling Packet
Side B of Math
Complete any work not finished in class
Thursday:
Read 20 minutes and complete Reading Calendar
Work on Spelling Packet
Spelling Test Friday
Side B of Math
Complete any work not finished in class
Friday:
Read 20 minutes and complete Reading Calendar
